HALAL HANNOVER to be staged in March of 2021
Due to ongoing health risks, HALAL HANNOVER – Germany’s first-ever Halal trade fair – will not take place until next year, running from 19 to 21 March 2021. HALAL HANNOVER was originally scheduled to launch in March 2020, and was then postponed to September 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"The majority of the industry has spoken out against holding the trade fair in September, based on the fact that there are still too many issues and uncertainties in the market due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation," says Christoph Schöllhammer, Project Manager of HALAL HANNOVER at Hannover-based Deutsche Messe. "Due to the highly international nature of the event, extensive travel restrictions from several outside countries would have a major impact. We’ve therefore decided to hold the event in March of 2021. Sixty domestic and international companies and more than 40 speakers from 18 nations had already registered for the first HALAL HANNOVER."
As a new trends show for halal-compliant products, HALAL HANNOVER is intended to provide the halal industry with a platform for commercial and professional networking. The first event will focus on food and beverages, cosmetics, financial services and travel. A three-day conference program featuring domestic and international experts will round off the event.
